Juventus eyes Brian Brobbey as backup option amid striker hunt

🇳🇱
Juventus have been presented with a transfer offer for Dutch striker Brian Brobbey, according to the Italian outlet TuttoMercato, placing the 24‑year‑old on the club’s shortlist while Randal Kolo Muani remains the preferred target as they search for a replacement for Dusan Vlahovic, who is close to moving to Besiktas. Brobbey enjoyed a strong first season at Sunderland, where he scored regularly and earned a call‑up to the World Cup squad. At the World Cup he found the net twice against Sweden and once against Tunisia, but could not stop the Netherlands from being knocked out by Morocco in the round of 32. Juventus are actively seeking an extra striker because Vlahovic’s imminent departure leaves a gap; Kolo Muani is the primary option, yet Brobbey now features on Turin’s shortlist. The 24‑year‑old striker is under contract with Sunderland until the summer of 2029, and a fee of €35‑40 million is cited as sufficient to start transfer talks. At that price Sunderland would secure more than €15 million in profit, having originally bought Brobbey from Ajax for €20 million in the summer of 2025. Other clubs have also shown interest in Brobbey, though they are not named, and Juventus may soon decide whether to meet the stated valuation.
