Jason Ponente-Ramirez Joins Karlsruher SC From Köln Academy

Jason Ponente-Ramirez, 19, has left the 1. FC Köln academy to join Karlsruher SC's senior squad. The move marks his first step into professional football.

Ponente-Ramirez spent four seasons developing in Köln's youth ranks. During that time he played as a winger on the club's U19 side.

Ponente-Ramirez helped the German U19 team win the national championship last season. The title was secured after a victory in the final.

Ponente-Ramirez missed the title defence match when the team lost the final the following year. The final took place on Sunday.

Karlsruhe expects Ponente-Ramirez to add depth to its attacking options for the upcoming 2. Bundesliga campaign. He will train with the first team ahead of the new season.
