Dembélé hits penalty to seal PSG Champions League win

🇫🇷

Ousmane Dembélé converted a stoppage-time penalty to secure Paris Saint-Germain’s 2-1 Champions League victory over Arsenal at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest. The goal completed PSG’s consecutive European crowns.

Dembélé described the night as “something exceptional” after scoring the decisive spot-kick. His late strike followed a tense final against Arsenal, where PSG twice fought back from behind.

Arsenal opened the scoring through Oleksandr Zinchenko before Vitinha equalised midway through the second half. Kylian Mbappé had earlier missed a first-half penalty.

PSG coach Luis Enrique praised his team’s resilience in the 90 minutes. The French side now boast back-to-back Champions League titles.

Victory marks PSG’s third Champions League triumph overall. The club joins an elite group of two-time consecutive winners in Europe’s premier competition.

Dembélé becomes the third PSG player to score in a Champions League final. He joins Mbappé and Neymar in the club’s final match-winners list.
