Raheem Sterling Arrested After Highway Crash in England

Raheem Sterling was arrested in England on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs after crashing his car into the M3 motorway guardrail in Hampshire on Thursday. The 31‑year‑old forward was under contract with Feyenoord until the end of last season. The incident was reported by The Sun.

Police indicated that no other vehicles were involved and that no injuries were reported. Sterling was detained on suspicion of drug‑related driving, dangerous driving, possession of drugs and refusing a drug or alcohol test.

He was released on bail pending further investigation. The police confirmed the investigation remains ongoing.

Sterling moved from the Premier League to Feyenoord earlier this year. He previously played for Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal.

He earned 82 caps for England and scored 20 goals. His England appearances spanned his time at Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal.

Police have not announced any additional charges. The case remains under investigation.
