Nico Paz chooses another season at Como

Nico Paz has told Real Madrid he will not return this summer. He will remain at Como for another season.

Paz says regular playing time is essential for his development. He expects a larger role at Como, which will compete in the Champions League.

Real Madrid hold a buyback option on Paz until 30 June. All indications suggest the clause will not be exercised.

Recent changes at Real Madrid include the appointment of Jose Mourinho. The club has also signed Bernardo Silva and other experienced players, increasing competition for minutes.

Under Cesc Fabregas at Como, Paz will continue his growth before any future return to the Santiago Bernabeu.
