Como claim first Serie A title in AC Milan collapse

AC Milan lost 3-2 at home to Juventus on the final day of the 2025-2026 Serie A season. The defeat handed Como their first-ever top-flight title.

Juventus secured the win with a 90th-minute goal from Federico Chiesa. Milan’s defeat ended their Champions League hopes, dropping them to Europa League qualification.

Como finished level on 82 points with Inter Milan but claimed the title on head-to-head rules. The Nerazzurri’s 2-0 win over Lazio earlier in the day kept them in contention but fell just short.

Milan’s defeat at San Siro came despite an early lead. Rafael Leão scored in the 12th minute, but Juventus equalized through Arkadiusz Milik before Chiesa’s decisive strike.

Como’s title is their first in Serie A since the league’s inception in 1898. The club, newly promoted in 2024-25, becomes the fifth different winner in the last six seasons.

Milan finish third, behind Inter Milan on 83 points. Juventus complete the top four with 81 points.
