Warne's familiar target: Cohen Bramall adds dynamism to MK Dons' left

🇬🇧

MK Dons have secured 30‑year‑old left‑back Cohen Bramall on a free transfer after his contract with Luton Town expired, the club announced on Tuesday. The defender joins the English League One side as they prepare for the upcoming pre‑season ahead of their campaign.

Bramall featured in 35 matches across all competitions for the Hatters last season. His consistent performances earned him regular starts at left‑back.

The 30‑year‑old began his senior career in non‑league football before joining Arsenal in 2017, where he never made a first‑team appearance. He later played for Colchester, Lincoln, Rotherham and Portsmouth.

Paul Warne, MK Dons manager, previously signed Bramall while he was at Rotherham United. Warne told the club website that “it was easy to convince him to come here”.

Warne added, “He’s like a full‑back that has winger tendencies, who always wants to take people on and gives us a great dynamic energy down the left side.” Warne believes his attacking mindset will benefit the team.

The manager said Bramall “wants to get back to the Championship, so he’s another great addition to the squad and he’ll make us stronger for when pre‑season properly starts.” MK Dons have not disclosed the length of his contract.
