Lukas Fadinger Extends Motherwell Deal Until 2028

Lukas Fadinger has signed a one-year contract extension with Scottish Premiership club Motherwell, tying him to the Fir Park side until 2028.

The 25-year-old Austrian midfielder has featured almost constantly in Motherwell’s lineup during the first year of his original two-year deal.

Motherwell manager Jens Berthel Askou praised the signing, calling Fadinger’s progression a “wonderful story”.

Fadinger joined Motherwell in the summer after departing Austrian side Rheindorf Altach, bringing his experience to the Scottish league.

The extension arrives after former manager Michael Wimmer, who initially secured Fadinger’s transfer, departed the club earlier in the season.

Askou acknowledged that supporters and observers might have questioned the decision to extend a player linked to a previous manager.

With the new deal in place, Fadinger is set to continue his midfield role as Motherwell prepares for the upcoming campaign.
