Lee Kang-in faces summer exit as Atletico Madrid eyes move
Paris Saint-Germain winger Lee Kang-in could leave this summer after limited minutes under Luis Enrique. Atletico Madrid has emerged as a potential destination for the South Korean international.
Lee played 26 matches across all competitions for PSG this season but featured in just one Champions League game. His playing time declined under manager Luis Enrique, who has prioritized other forwards.
Atletico Madrid sporting director Andrea Berta confirmed interest in Lee during a recent press conference. Berta stated the club is monitoring several options to strengthen the squad.
Lee’s contract with PSG runs until 2026, but his future remains uncertain following inconsistent performances. PSG has not ruled out a loan move to facilitate a potential departure.
Atletico Madrid currently has winger Antoine Griezmann and youngster Samuel Lino ahead in their depth chart. The club is also considering other attacking reinforcements before the transfer window closes.
A move to Atletico Madrid would reunite Lee with former PSG teammate Vitinha, who joined Atletico in January 2024. Both players featured together under Luis Enrique at PSG.
Lee’s situation reflects PSG’s broader squad rotation challenges under Enrique’s management.
