Benfica releases five young women players

Benfica has terminated the contracts of five young women players.

The players are Daniela Areia Santos, Letícia Almeida, Marta Salvador, Zoe Matthews and Carolina Ferreira.

Daniela Areia Santos will leave Benfica as her contract ends. The termination takes effect immediately.

Letícia Almeida also departs following the contract termination. Marta Salvador’s contract ends at the same time.

Zoe Matthews’ contract termination means she exits the club. Carolina Ferreira likewise leaves, finalising the five-player exodus.

Benfica’s women’s side will continue the season without the five players. The club will review its roster ahead of the next match.
