Juventus' €35m bid for Svilar hits Roma's €60m price wall

🇮🇹 1 uur geleden

Juventus Football Club have tabled a €35 million offer for Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar, but Roma's hierarchy have ruled out any talks unless a €60 million price is on the table, as the club races to meet a June 30 UEFA settlement deadline.

Roma needs to increase revenue ahead of June 30 to comply with a settlement agreement with UEFA. With three days left, time is running out.

The club's only viable route to boost revenue is through capital gains generated by selling players. Mile Svilar, a key figure for the Giallorossi, is unlikely to be part of that plan.

Gian Piero Gasperini regards the goalkeeper as indispensable and therefore unsellable. Sporting director Tony D’Amico echoed the same stance, rejecting the sole approach received from Juventus.

Juventus, actively searching for a goalkeeper, have approached Roma with a €35 million proposal for the 1999‑born Svilar. The Bianconeri have also sounded out the player directly.

Roma’s response was a flat “no”. The club indicated it would not sit at the negotiating table unless a club offers a €60 million valuation.

With the UEFA deadline looming, Roma must explore other avenues to generate the required capital gains. The outcome of the Svilar saga will hinge on whether any suitor meets the club’s €60 million benchmark.
